LCC Faculty Colleagues,
We ask all faculty members to attend the LCC Board meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the LCC Boardroom, to demand that the Administration honor its agreements. Please join us and classified staff union members and their Bargaining Team at the cafeteria at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow. We’ll have “LCC EF-EA United” pins for the first 200 people who show up, pizza, talking points for volunteers to speak to the LCC Board during the Public Comment period at the beginning of the meeting, and time to talk about what’s happening—and not happening—at the Bargaining tables.
Come show your support for our contractual rights and our colleagues in the Classified Staff union. You do not need to speak to demonstrate your opposition to the delays in bargaining, the refusal to put the $3M agreed to at the Budget & Finance Subcommittee onto the Bargaining tables, or the Administration’s threats to impose the full insurance rate hikes on employees.
If you do wish to speak, we encourage you to call on the Administration to not just talk the talk in governance, but to walk it to the bargaining table.
Alternatively you could share the impact that “less-than-COLA” COLAs, not receiving the steps you earned, increased work loads due to the enrollment surge, etc. have had on you and your family (please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you do plan to speak so that we can track and help organize speakers).
See you at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow in the cafeteria!
Your Bargaining Team:
Dean Bergen, Polina Kroik, Adrienne Mitchell, Jim Salt, and Dan Welton
