OEA PIE meeting and OEA Representative Assembly

Dear LCCEA Members,
This message is an announcement of two upcoming OEA events that may be of interest to you.  For the OEA RA (the second of these events) this message also serves as a call for delegate nominations with a deadline of Friday, Feb. 28th, 5 pm.

Event 2)  OEA RA with Call For Delegate Nominations

What:  The 2014 OEA RA (Oregon Education Association Representative Assembly), is the annual gathering of OEA officers and delegates from locals across the state.  LCCEA can send up to 11 elected delegates to this year’s assembly.  It’s a great opportunity to connect with OEA members from other Community Colleges and K-12 schools, to learn about local and state-wide issues, and to participate in shaping OEA policies and by-laws going forward.

When:  Friday, May 2nd and Saturday, May 3rd
Where:  Jantzen Beach Red Lion, Portland, OR

Eligibility to Register and Attend:  Our local will elect our member delegates who will then be registered by the association.  If you’re interested in nominating yourself or another LCCEA member, please email Deanna Murphy (murphyd (at) lanecc.edu) by Friday, February 28th, 5 pm.  Elections will be held the week of March 3rd.

If you have any questions, direct them to Deanna Murphy: murphyd (at) lanecc.edu
