Reminder: review your RIF lists and list of course certifications as soon as possible

LCC Faculty Colleagues,

A quick reminder for contracted faculty —

I hope this email finds you well. I know this is a very busy and incredibly demanding time for all faculty who are teaching face-to-face, remotely, or both.

At the same time, it is important for all contracted faculty to take some time and please be so kind as to review your RIF lists and list of course certifications as soon as possible. You should have received these lists emailed from HR on or about November 2. If you did not receive the lists from HR, you should have received a personal email with recommendations to follow the steps below.

If you find errors in your RIF list seniority or find that courses are missing, please complete the steps below as soon as possible and preferablyby November 23.

We are currently tracking errors in at least 34 faculty members’ lists of the roughly 200 full-time faculty. We are working with HR collaboratively to address these errors and will be requesting re-issuance of the lists once corrected.

Steps for you to take now if there are any errors on your RIF list or course certifications: 1. Please fill out the RIF review form at: https://www.lanecc.edu/sites/default/files/hr/documents/requestrif.pdf

2. Once complete, please email the RIF review form to: your dean with CC to Sharon Daniel in HR at daniels@lanecc.edu and with CC to LCCEA at: lcceacontract@lanecc.edu .

3. If courses are missing from your list, please also fill out the course certification form at: https://www.lanecc.edu/sites/default/files/hr/documents/faculty_certification_form_10.27.15.pdf  You should list all the courses you are qualified to teach in your discipline/department on this form (e.g. all history courses for a history instructor).

4. Once complete, please email this form also to: your dean with CC to Sharon Daniel in HR at daniels@lanecc.edu and to LCCEA at: lcceacontract@lanecc.edu
Ensuring that your lists are accurate and complete will help promote individual job security as well as program stability.

If you have any questions or if you would like assistance, please do not hesitate to contact LCCEA representatives at: lcceacontract@lanecc.edu

Thank you for all that you do!

Best,

Adrienne
